Welcome to Therapy Space California. I am Benton Sheely, a dedicated therapist committed to helping individuals and couples heal, grow, and connect with compassion and care. Grief and trauma can leave you feeling isolated, but you don’t have to face them alone. It is an honor to walk alongside you, breaking that isolation and guiding you toward healing. No matter where you are in your journey, I look forward to working with you in a way that feels meaningful and supportive.

My Approach

I believe that no two healing journeys are the same, which is why I take a collaborative approach to therapy, working with each client to find what best supports their growth and healing. Drawing from a range of evidence-based modalities—including CBT, IFS, ACT, and attachment-based therapy—I tailor sessions to meet individual needs. For trauma processing, I integrate EMDR, a powerful tool for healing past wounds, while for couples, I use the Gottman Method to strengthen communication and connection. My goal is to create a supportive, personalized space where you feel empowered in your healing journey.

I earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of California, San Diego, and an MSW with a certificate in trauma from Simmons University. With a deep commitment to compassionate care, I am honored to walk alongside individuals as they navigate life’s hardest moments. My goal is to provide a supportive space for healing and growth.
